About Al Pece

Orignally from Queens, New York, Al attended college for architecture in New York City.  While there, one of his friends introduced him to the Fine Arts Department and figure drawing.  Upon graduation, Al worked for an interior design firm and a high end architecture firm.  On Saturdays he would venture to SOHO and gather with other artists for life study and figure drawing sessions.  In 1990, Al moved to Columbus, Ohio where he worked at various firms, specializing in residential, retail and commercial design.  Sunday figure drawing classes at the Ohio Art League became more difficult to attend as he became ensconced in family life surrounded by his lovely wife and two adorable girls.  In the summer of 2006, Al discovered Junctionview Studios in Grandview.  Junctionview became a space to get back in touch with his artistic side.  He now balances a busy family and work life with charcoals and pastels as well.
